On or around the 2nd May 2025, the ‘RS South’ cardinal buoy will be renamed Royal Sovereign South and established permanently in its current position, as follows:

Pillar: Yellow above black: Q (6) + L Fl 15 seconds: S. Cardinal Topmark. Racon and AIS fitted.

XBAND 9320 MHz to 9500 MHz

SBAND 2920 MHz to 3100 MHz

DISPLAY PERIOD: On 20 seconds. Off 40 seconds. Total 60 seconds.

The three cardinal buoys, detailed below, currently marking the remaining structure of Royal Sovereign lighthouse will be permanently discontinued:

RS North

Position: 50° 43.450’N, 000° 25.900’E

Trinity House Notice to Mariners 28/2023 previously refers and is now cancelled.

No further notice will be given.
